Two Monthaversary?

August 3rd marked two months that I’ve been home, or shall I say my two monthaversary?

Our life has found it’s new normal, Wade isn’t worrying about me as much anymore, and I’m not as concerned about myself as much as I used to be, especially when it comes to endurance and physical strength. I’m lifting the girls, chasing them (that’s right, I’m even running a little), bruising like a peach (a little easier than I used to), and I’m just enjoying my time with the girls, and the time that Wade and I spend together, with the girls, or when the girls are in bed.

This past weekend we did a BUNCH of meal prepping! Woohoo! We did; Honey Garlic Chicken, Mushroom and Chicken Stroganoff, Cilantro Lime Chicken with Corn & Black Beans, Mushroom Barley Stew, Potato Soup, Spaghetti & Meatballs with Sauce, Chilli, and Chicken & Dumplings. Most of these we made 2-3 bags of each meal listed, most of which will serve us two dinners and two lunches each! How great is that? Wade has no thought lunches, as do I for myself and Hailey! Eventually Hadley will be eating the same things we eat as well, but it might be a little longer before that happens.

Not only did we prep all of these great, healthy, organic meals for our family, but we got a lot of other stuff done as well. The peas picked from the garden, tomato plants trimmed and restaked, the raspberry plants restaked as they are HUGE, we got our friends truck (that we’ve been borrowing until we bought one) cleaned and ready to return, we gave our van a much needed deep clean, and got ourselves caught up on laundry. Don’t be fooled, we didn’t just work away like busy bees all weekend, we took time and spent some much needed time out on the deck or in the pool with the girls enjoying the wonderful weather!
